Warmup:
10
min
Equipment:
Barbell, Jump Rope
Cooldown:
5
min
Modality:
Gymnastics, Weightlifting
Coaching notes
Start with a dynamic warm-up focusing on the lower back, hamstrings, and calves, crucial for the deadlifts and cleans. Include some light cardio to prepare for the double-unders and burpees. Approach the 54 deadlifts with a weight that allows for good form. Break the reps into smaller sets to maintain technique and manage fatigue. Double-unders require a rhythm; focus on wrist movement and minimal jumping height. Modify with single-unders if double-unders are not yet in your skill set. For cleans, use a full hip extension to get the bar to the rack position. Keep the bar close to the body, and break the reps into manageable sets. Burpees should be steady, ensuring full chest contact with the ground and an explosive jump at the top of each rep. This workout is a high-volume challenge, testing both strength and cardiovascular endurance. Pace yourself, focusing on maintaining good form and efficient movement transitions. Cool down with light stretching, especially focusing on the lower back, legs, and shoulders, to facilitate recovery.
